Sharp Sphere was founded in 2000 solely as a Palace services provider. Since our migration to our AT&T-operated data center in 2002 we have worked continuously to expand our services to emerging graphical chat markets, personalized web hosting services, and custom-tailored solutions for small to medium businesses.

Our Staff

Our technical staff at Sharp Sphere consists of highly trained Palace experts, most of whom are Palace veterans who have used the Palace client since its initial release. 

Our staff is very service-oriented and will always strive to assist you in every way possible.  We are dedicated to achieving full customer satisfaction and providing our users with the most enjoyable Palace experience possible.

Our Network

In order to provide our customers with the most stable and reliable Palace hosting experience, our administrators monitor and manage our systems to maintain the excellent low latency required for smooth and effortless operation. 

Our servers are powerful multi-processor Dell units with hardware specifically tuned by our expert administrators.  As the demand for resources increases, our system administrators proactively install and configure new equipment as necessary to balance system load and ensure the highest level of service.

Our equipment is located inside the Internet Data Center of one of the largest telecom companies in the world.  It is a state of the art facility with complete power and backbone redundancy, 24/7 systems monitoring, and backup UPS and diesel generators.  Our network runs on an OC-3 line (155Mbps [equivalent of 100 T1s] ) and is housed on a redundant OC-192 backbone (10Gbps or 6600 T1s).  These lines are extremely high-bandwidth connections capable of effortlessly serving dense amounts of traffic.  We typically maintain our lines to achieve a latency time of 10-25 milliseconds to major Internet backbones.  Such latency is considered beyond excellent and exceeds that of other Palace hosting communities.  We strive to maintain such a low latency in order to provide our users with the enjoyable lag-free Palace environment we are known for.
